You Are

by fearose   Jun 25, 2008

You are the breeze on a hot summer day,
The notion of knowing what to say.
You are the pillow of my silver cloud,
The sweet melody of love's sound.

You are the flowers budding the grass,
And the sun of my life's forcast.
You are heavenly breath of the sky,
The truth when the world is a lie.

My angel, my saint, my love:
You are the soaring autumn dove,
Feathers streaked with wine.
I dream you will always be mine.

This was very romantic. The last line was a bit sad since the speaker can only dream about whoever they're speaking to. The metaphors you used were so good. I liked when you used "The truth when the world is a lie." to speak about whoever this poem is about. Because honestly is one of the major things one looks for and not so easily found.

I loved this! The metaphors were just... perfect. I especially liked "the sun of my life's forcast." This poem is really sweet.
    You're a natural, for sure. :D
    Keep it up! 5/5

    Love,
