This poem is very cold. It sounds like a movie..

"So you thought you knew me
    You just had no clue
    But the next thousand miles
    I'll cover quicker than you"
=> I am impressed how good you made this stanza.

    You have really good imagination.

I didn't complete understood the meaning of them poem but I enjoyed reading it.

With thousands of poems to be read, ponder, appreciate, critique, and still 1000's more to read, yet there comes a line which is so simply put, but holds so much more. And this line here surly fits the bill..........

There was something about the sunrise
It brought a change to my heart, a new look to my eyes

    Very nice.......

This was a great poem of honesty, gratefulness and change of attitude. We all reach a turning point, no matter the situation.
This was so well written in your classic style of honesty.. Your imagery is excellent and you take the reader for a new exciting ride each time..
    thanks for a great read

This poem was a truly deep, honest
    and powerful write.
    The emotions and passion was
just spilling out of this poem.
Your words created images of the situation
Your words were like daggers piercing through
    the reader,
they definitely urged me to read on
and am really glad that I did
as this was nothing less than
    brilliant.
    Keep it coming :)

Impressive Grant..to say the least. I too love to just say the words, however cold and harsh they may sound...sometimes they need to be said.
A great story that indeed read like a movie!

    hugs my friend:)

Not clearly understanding your past makes me confused when it comes to the mentioning of "Truck" I love this poem though and how you can tell it is true.. and written from a real experience. There was some imagery in this which definatly helped with understanding the poem. A great poem Grant.

    5/5.
