Condemnation (The Act Must Go On)

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Jun 25, 2008

How am I supposed to feel?
Who am I supposed to love?
From the hat he does reveal
several doves flying above.

He takes the wand and points it there
and POOF a bouquet of flowers.
Nobody said magic was fair
or how he should use his powers.

Bang! A light show out of the mist
and the audience is starry eyed.
They oo and ah at each new twist
while they stare in awe and jump inside.

Which magic trick will he use?
The doors for the disappearing trick,
but which beating heart to choose?
The audience is waiting, be quick.

What to do with all of them.
The act, it must go on,
but must I pick to condemn?
Which stays? Who shall be gone?

Oooh wow. I love your first stanza a lot then I love how you go into this whole magic thing about who this guy is going to choose. Very nicely written. 5/5.
