Old Times

by codie duncan   Jun 25, 2008

My friend it came to that day,
that day i only said hey.
you were off on a good start,
riding bikes and magical carts.
i think about you every day,
and go to that spot, out near the bay.
though my poems maybe short,
but my heart has not yet been caught,
its suffering and is weak,
because we aren't able to speak.
if there was something i could do,
i would try think of a clue,
just so i could bring, my lovely sister back,
but without having any kind of attack.
I'm here to this day,
writing of my very own ways,
of how i love you,
and hope wishes will come true.
my eyes may shed tears,
but though you told that little girl, never to fear.
we all know life has an end,
so your always our friend.
times like these ill never forget,
even them times u wished u regret.
when we were young,
oh we had so much fun,
just wish we could go back, to them good old days,
running around crazy in that big maze.
i cannot bare, but just to sit there and cry,
i ask one more question, why oh why?
you are my one and only,
but why do i still feel so lonely?
you may be gone far away from the world,
but you made my heart swell.
it may be sad but I'm still happy,
even when you used to get snappy.
i still think of them days you said you would never leave me,
but now your in a happy place and now you are free.
heaven may be far away,
but listen to what i have to say,
i love you with all my heart,
now lets go back to the start.
i wish you were still here,
just to make life perfectly clear.
i dedicate this to you, my sister,
my heart remains as very sore blister.
you were ever so perfect,
no one would ever feel ever so wrecked,
until you tried that day, yes just that very day,
that i had wished to say hey.
just like a pea in a pod,
you weren't ever odd.
this time its my turn,
now I'm left here to burn.
i wish one day we could speak,
so you could have a little peek,
at whats going on inside my head,
just please, sew my heart back together,
even though now your as light as a feather.
i miss you alot,
and know, never to tie that knot.
