These Flowers

Their petals are of bright color
Their leaves are blooming
Just like me

You love and care for them
You feed and water them
To see them wonderfully bloom
Just like me

The sprouting buds
The opening of petals
This is a beautiful sight

These flowers remind me of someone
Someone who is growing
Growing into a new person

But they are still too young
Their bloom has just begun
The petals are still buds

The blooming person is growing
Growing tall and strong
They have no fear
Of themselves or anyone

The flower is me
The petal is everyone
The bloom is a new born
The dieing plant is the old
