Dear Soldier

by Chris Ford   Jun 25, 2008

I hate to see the empty space in which you used to fill. My soldier boy in Texas, training how to kill. It was so hard to say goodbye, watching you walk away. I said goodbye to my best friend that January day. Youre a US soldier now, serving everyone plus me. You travel far and get to see things I may never see. So as you travel, soldier boy, know well always be right here. We may not be close physically, but in your heart, were near. Youll always be a part of me, always on my mind. I look through all the pics of you; dream of you all the time. I may not tell you every day, but Im so proud of you. People may not remember what you say, but theyll always remember what you do.

This poem was wrote to me from my sister. I love and miss you sis. I'll be home before you know it.
Love
Chris
