No Matter What

She wonders when the last time was,
That he let himself shed a tear."
--i liked this your not telling straight up what is going on the reader has to sort of form a guess off the bat it keeps the reader involved very good

His heart is now bulletproof,
He doesn't care what people say.
Not one thing can bother him,
Not even her walking away.
--wow this got to me now i understand why he hasn't cried in a while i sort of felt sorry for him that he got this stone cold with emotions : /

She knows he's hiding something,
He just keeps denying, lying.
She pretends she really believes it,
Doesn't let him see her crying.
--this makes me think that she feels she has to stay strong since he is so careful with his emotions its like a chain reaction

He tells her to just move on,
Find someone else to love.
He is just waiting for the day,
He may be sent up above.
--aww so depressing : / thats so brutally mean it was very emotional

That day is drawing nearer,
He can feel his time running out.
She wants them to enjoy what's left,
But all they ever do is shout.
--thats no fun to go through this sounds so horrible and it seems like he sort of wants to go i like how you keep it a mystery about what will happen

She is dreading his departure,
Praying someday, he will return.
Wearing her poor heart on her sleeve,
Oh, when will she ever learn?
--this is my favorite stanza i like the question at the end it makes me feel like she is naive

And so, she hugs him goodbye,
Tells him he better come back one day.
He will forever live on inside her heart,
Because I will always be here for you, Ray.
--aw so cute i loved the ending it was still sweet even after the sad parts
