Day by day,

I got home and got the news that you had gone,
I began to cry,
And I wanted you even more,

You were my grandpa!

They would take you away from me forever,

I had to let go of you forever,
I had to say my final "Good Bye"
I placed a picture by your hands,
Then I cried, grasping for air,
They made me leave your side,
For it was time for them to place you in the ground.
I had to leave you there by yourself,
Remembering the last thing that I said to you,
"I'll always love you- Forever"
And then said a tiny whisper in your ear that said,
"I hope that you never forget me!"
Grandpa now that you are gone,
Now that I don't have you anymore,
