My immortality.

by JD   Jun 26, 2008

I exist; a ghost;
a soul; already dead.
my heart; crying;
as it slowly bled.
still attached;
this body; this life.
these people;
together in a strife.
Harmony claps;
i don't hear;
fading away gradually;
slowly i disappear.
fatality calling me;
its inevitable
hanging by a thread;
unstable
but i know i cant;
i couldn't take life away;
its precious;
cant break, don't betray.
but I'm already broken;
inside and out;
my immortality
couldn't do without.

    JD this was a very well written poem of despair and detachment , yet i also senced discovery and acknowledgement .

    A well rounded poem I enjoyed reading 5/5
