It all started in a seventh grade class
As friends just trying to get through the year in one piece
We were friends and that is all we would be that year
Until you left for your new home far away from our beach home
I finally realized I liked you when you walked off for the last time
I had forgotten you for almost a year when suddenly you showed up in my crazy life once again
Then it hit me, all previous emotions came rushing back to me, and old seventh grade romance
But this was eighth grade, everything from the previous year had changed
Rarely anything was the same, but one thing stayed true, that I still cared for you
You found out shockingly, and now that you know, it is just not the same
I actually thought we had a chance together, but as usual I was wrong in the game of love
We now never talk, only friends for now
It is just the same as before
