The Funny Pain

by Soulful Ensemble   Jun 27, 2008

You hurt me and you say whatever
But the pain is real however.
And the seriousness you fake
Guides me early to the grave.

My heart goes numb and pain i feel
To make my loneliness so real.
And who will love and care for me
When the sky seems to disappear?

Its no laughing game but you manage to play
And make me feel insane as I swallow pain.
The tears that fall so cold and slow
Matter not to anyone as they take their blow.

Nobody wants to shield my sensitive hands
That caress with love every grain of sand
That slips through cracks and into darkness
To where the fire burns through madness
And clouds the thoughts of sadness.

Black hearts that burn forever I know
Because I've felt the pain of their touch.
Crying never ceases and I can't say "no"
I need a hand to hold and there is misery's cold clutch.

I clutch and try to grab the meaning
Of lost replies of love I'm needing.
When will they come if ever?
Will she really know however
That my tears are serious
And no joke is here with us?

I see you laughing at the homeless man
Who couldn't pay his heart enough
To lift the lofty love ban
And try to be as tough.

Nobody's looking up today
As we stroll away from May.
And the light of the sun's rays
Decay and die with every day.

Who will remember smiles
After a million years of pain?
Not even through the numerous files
Will you find a trace again.
