Today the sky lost its sunshine and the sun closed its eyes
From out of nowhere the dark clouds had gathered.......
....they cried on my Orchid Lady and an unfriendly wind began to blow
Why is it, when everything seems perfect Nature loses its way?
When I looked at you my heart cried out with a loving happiness
You were further down the forest path, standing under an archway
In your hands you held a small Robin recently injured by the wind
Now I know why you have such an affinity with all the animals you meet.
As I approached I noticed other animals watching with interested eyes.......
....it was then I knew your furry friends felt so safe in your presence
Without a word I turned and walked home for a lined box.......
....sweetheart, I knew you wouldn't move one step without warmth for that Robin.
If there is one thing that has always been so special about you.......
....it is the love you share with everything you come across; making you so unique
From the moment we first met I felt that love inside you searching for my heart
Orchid Lady, from that day you have blessed me with so much happiness.
As you placed that bird into the box, a strange event happened.......
....without warning the sun began to smile again and a rainbow hung in the sky
The wind was ushered away and the flowers opened their colourful faces
I smiled as I realized with you, my tomorrows would always be perfect.
