Honey-sweet ((lie))

by StandStill   Jun 28, 2008

Drip my voice with a honey-sweet smile,
porcelain perfection at its peak.
Don't be jealous, dearest one,
I'm a fake, so to speak.

Would you love me if you knew?
Would you care to see beyond my facade?
Two thumbs down there, isn't that right?
That sounds like an appropriate adage.

Thank you for the challenge,
it's getting hard to wear a mask around.
But dearest one, I promise you
that when I break, I won't make a sound.
