Broken glass and final tombs

by Katie   Jun 28, 2008

Glass is broken on the ground
Echoes of screams and cries all around
Blood is dripping from the wall
Her mother didn’t help; just let her fall

Her mother didn't care to hear
Just let her daughter sit and tear
Mom was the cause of all of her pain
She cried and cut all out of vain

Slits on her wrists
Happiness does not exsist
Fights and battles every day
Life is now shades of gray

Mom’s job got hard
And she was the one who got scarred
Her mother got angry and hit her
Then her life became a blur

Then one night it went too far
It was weird and so bizarre
Mom threw her from the other room
And that’s what made her final tomb

The wall and her head met
Mom cursed and threw out a threat
Goodbye to life and to her
In heaven, horrible lives; do not occur

Lovely poem. A few punctuation mistakes, but those are easily cured. The first stanza does a wonderful job of capturing the reader. The flow is a little rough, but not so much as to make me want to stop reading. Congrats on being the creator of the first well-written poem I've read here (and no, this was not the first poem I've read on this site; it was the 4th). Keep up the good work.
