Numb Or Not?

I use to be numb,
but now I would give everything to be numb again.

The pain I feel now
is far to deep.

It started with a simple phrase,
I love you.

Then I realized,
I really did love her.

And now I can't even tell her,
I'm in love with her.

For her mother hates me,
and really hates us being together.

I hated being numb,
but now it seems better.

At lease when I was numb
I could make myself feel something.

But when I feel this pain,
this pain of the heart,
I can't make it go away.
So I ask you numb or not?
