Drift away into a dream of open endings,
not knowing where im going,
i disappear into the shadows of my memory,
waiting for a light to shine through,
the darkness takes over,
a fence around my heart caging my emotions,
change is never coming,
staying what i am meant to be.
fear sweeps over my body,
wanting something that i cant have,
a smile trying to break through,
but the pressure of loves anger
is keeping me from giving my heart.
trying to hide from all this hate
is what breaks me down inside my walls,
until a light breaks through the cracks,
this darkness shall reside.
