In Blood

by StandStill   Jun 30, 2008

I could always promise you a poem,
or take a photograph or two.
Darling, I live my life aroud your words.
Babe, I live my life for you.

But don't look at me,
and don't read my words.
They're just proof,
that I'm another broken girl.

I know I play the strong guy,
sweet and innocent as I pretend to be.
But then, I was born a story-teller
and I've always been best at makebelieve.

I have nothing left to prove to you,
my boldness flows away just like this desert's rain.
Cuz babe, you've left me broken,
and you promised me "never" to my pain.

So please, just look away,
I promise you that I won't mind.
In blood, I write this poem,
and in blood, this poem's signed.

**Mix of different feelings toward different people**
