Fly away Robin

by Orchid Man   Jun 30, 2008

I am sure I saw Mother Nature smile lovingly at you today
I came outside into the garden just as you waved goodbye to the Robin
It flapped its wings for a moment then soared into the sky -
- Orchid Lady we both know that bird owed its life to your care.

What a wonderful sight to witness; a human and a bird -
- held together by a special love that very few people possess
Sweetheart, I am so proud of you and I am certain of one thing -
- the singing of other birds was an excited chatter about you.

Perhaps I had better go into the work shed and put some more boxes together -
- as each time we go for a walk your eyes will be watching for any maimed creature
Then you would look at me with your exciting green eyes and before I knew it -
- another of nature's animals would become part of our greater family.

You have always held that softness of character; this is why you are unique
Each day fills me with the wonder of your kindness to others -
- often giving to those people who are less fortunate than you
Orchid Lady I feel so blessed to have you in my life.

No wonder you are unique
