Night My Refuge

by gracey grey   Jun 30, 2008

Withering world
My soul weeps
Is this mine
Alone to bear

Trampled upon
I kiss the ground
1000 times
Till I fall

Bleeding masses
Of murky water
Infested air
I cannot breathe

Come night be my refuge
With you beside there is hope
Morn will come to ease this pain
Kiss me again I will survive

I like the message that I'm getting here. No matter how desolate the situation, there is always hope. There is always someone or something that keeps you holding on, despite what your troubles may be. Beautiful languge, btw. It's a very nicely written poem!

Very nicely written. Has a romantic after taste. I enjoyed reading it very much.

There's a day after every dark night as we tend to see hopes in the most miserable situation also... good poem of pain and hope... well done.
