Sorrow

by Ixora   Jul 1, 2008

I don't know where you are
i don't know with whom you are
in this night when everything is cut in half
except the pain

i don't know where you are
and i will never find out
if you found that haven,
a home and garden
of your dreams.

oh if sorrow was snow
that cold melt by the morning
when i close my eyes,
even i could finally,
rest in peace.

oh if sorrow was a hill of sand
that the wind could strip
i would not be able to even then,
like i am unable even now,
to get over you.

distance isn't that
which my heart perceived
when a crazy heart thought
that it was completely enough
just to hear his voice.

distance isn't that
which to the soul appears.
empty is that field of hope
and the walls between us.

-i miss him.

i like that stanza the most. i loved how you compared sorrow to snow, quite creative. all and all this was a very expressive piece of work. job well done. 5/5.
