You Will Never Know

I will never tell you that I am scared of the dark,
Or even let you know how much you mean to me.
I'll swallow my fear, and alone at night, walk through a park,
Because one day I'll open my eyes, and there you won't be.

I will never let you know how much I really need you,
Or how much I actually care.
I will never reveal that inside my heart, you are one of a few,
And how much I carry that I can't bare.

You shall never know how many times I hated,
Or how many times I screamed to the sky.
You will never know that all my feelings have faded,
And that every day, I wish to say goodbye.

You will never know why I don't trust anyone but myself,
Or really why I don't believe in God anymore.
You will never know why I hate life itsself,
Or who I am writing all my poetry for.

I will never explain why I never cry,
Or why I am so used to blood.
You will never know why I want to die,
And why my soul is covered in mud.

You will never know what's inside my heart,
Or why my inside is shattered and broken.
You will never notice if I fall apart,
Those words for help will never be spoken.

You will never know that my smile is fake,
And when I laugh, I'm dying.
You will never know why I refuse to break,
Or why, when you ask, I always start lying.

I will never tell you what I really want, and what I really need,
But the pain is still there, even if it doesn't show.
I will never tell you how much, everyday inside, I bleed,
I have more scars than you will ever know.
