Love is a Rose

by LuvstruckChild   Jul 1, 2008

The rose,
A red-lipstick flower,
A blood-red confusion,
Like a sad song played over and over.

A rose is a rose,
As it always will be,
Love is a rose,
full of fun and beauty.

Roses have thorns though,
They will prick you and they'll hurt,
Love also has thorns,
They sting and you feel burnt.

Many flowers are like love,
But most of all the rose.
Many flowers are a lot like love,
Or so the story goes.

Their story is a short one,
Yet long another way.
Roses are a short love song,
That will always be replayed.
