If I could catch a large raindrop I would ride on it to where you are
If I could climb a rainbow I would climb it and meet you at its end
If I could walk across the seas and oceans I would eagerly follow my steps
If.................................................I could.

There is no obstacle that would stand in my way -
- no barrier that could ever stop me from coming to you
Orchid Lady, I would fight the might of a sandy desert to be near your side
There will always be a first for any type of situation and I would reach that first.

Without you I feel like I am living in a barren world -
- no sun, nor moon or stars; not even a single fluffy cloud to please me
Yet whenever we are together the Earth is full of wonder -
I feel a peace inside me as my heart lives in happiness with you.

If I could whisper your name to a passing wind and have my whisper brought to you
If I could write you a loving letter and have the wind drop my letter at your feet
My whisper and letter would tell you how much you mean to me and how much I miss you

As I spoke to you today I felt warm tears travelling down my cheeks
I wanted to reach out and hold you close within my arms -
- so close that the coldness you felt would turn into a loving warmth
Orchid Lady, only God knows how much I miss you.

How this word "If" haunts my every thinking; my every want
Perhaps it won't always be this way and we shall be together again
As I look through my rain-drenched windows only one thought lives with me
