Forgiveness

by shadow   Jul 2, 2008

Inside this twisted mind lies thoughts too insane
Tortured remains of another past memory bring pain
My hands are tired of catching you everytime you fall
Pretending I don't feel this crumbling apart despite it all

My eyes bleed out tears that solidify as they drop down
Falling like sharp knives cutting into my solid ground
The earth beneath my feet begins to break all apart
Resembling the pieces still missing from this cold heart

The weight on my shoulders grows heavy with the rain
Pushing me into the same ground I will eternally remain
I cannot bear to watch as this life just fades away
Just as the light in your eyes disappeared that very day

I have become desperate to falsify what was once true
Falling to my knees for a sign of forgiveness from you
But that could take forever and I have limited time
So do what you can so I can be forgotten of this crime
