Hark! Children Of Lesser, Better Gods

by gracey grey   Jul 2, 2008

Fight continues answers clogged in our hearts
Brother to my right kneels to pray
The other chants flawlessly
Keeps me thinking why this difference

Questions flaring, eyes glaring
Whispers here, a mock there
Webbed demonstrations
Is this what my beliefs about?

My king is good, kind, just
Your king by god not mine
Discriminations shunned
Hark now I come in peace

Detest, tribulations, trails
Of what sown, evil sprouts
Diluted comparisons
Biased declarations

Thus, fight continues in the name of religion
Abomination triumphs yet again
Weigh your hearts measure in inches
Dirt succumbs wherever deemed.

Hmm I can't tell whether this is about an internal struggle to keep your faith alive or just about religious mania. anyway it's very well written. I admire anyone brave enough to write about religion in a less than positive light.
