Wax Smiles (Monchielle)

by Ashleigh Skye   Jul 3, 2008

Smiles melting away,
from this treacherous heat,
intentions crystal clear,
like a burning candle.
your wounds are quite severe.

Smiles melting away,
as horns quickly emerge,
from 'neath that golden sphere,
tongue like a rattle snake,
strive to bring forth a tear.

Smiles melting away,
a demon in my sights,
everything pure now gone,
shattering like crystal,
everything that once shone.

Smiles melting away,
dripping down like hot wax,
cooling and hardening,
again to perfect form,
devil once more hiding.

I found my self reading this poem as if it was an ABCB poem with an add on to the begaining. I liked the whole message of this piece and the constant 6 syllables gave this piece a flawless flow.
    thank you for the read.
