The sun continues to shine on the slave,
The slave working harder and harder,
Feels like he is digging his own grave,
The master is speaking with ardor,
Ardor without the feeling love part,
In fact the slave hated him with his heart,
He slowed down once and got whipped,
Put into a daze and threatened to be shipped,
Choked within the master's hands,
Told he was the worst slave he ever had,
That if he died, Master would be glad,
So he kept on working until one day,
One day he worked up all his courage,
Told Master he would no longer obey,
That his whole life was in disarray,
And he wanted that no longer at all,
So he began to walk away, Master appalled,
Struck him with whip in the middle of his back,
Told him that wasn't how he was to act,
Told him he couldn't do anything as he was black,
Slave got up his pride was now restored,
Master went up and threw him overboard...
