Can anyone help

I'm so lost
I don't know what to do.
My mind is swirling with memories of you.
of the times we laughed,
of the times we cried.
of the times when we swore,
we just couldn't get by.

life comes at you fast,
it's like one day you're playing with your best friend on the playground,
and the next, you're by your lockers screaming at each other.

I know that friendships are hard,
and take a lot of effort,
but I also know that
sometimes the smartest thing to do,
is to be able to let go,
and find better friends.

Ive done that before
but I don't want to now.
I want us to stay friends,
but I just can't see how.

We're so different then we used to be,
but still so much in common.
Time flies by so fast,
I'm just really not sure if our friendship can last.

I really want to talk to you,
and have your shoulder to cry on,
but we are nothing more than rivals now.

It's funny how you can be friends with someone one day,
and enemies the next.

But even out of all this confusion,
I do have one thing straight,
that no matter how our friendship ends,
you've always been a great friend.
