A New Day

by Lost Soul 691   Jul 3, 2008

In the darkness of the morn
before the chirping of the birds
I sit and reflect
once more

Life's little passages
float lazily by
Mere reflections now
easily swallowed

Skies lighten
as does my heart
For life mirrors nature
Revel in the rebirth

Nestled in my cocoon
so safe and warm
Fearful of the venture
in the cool dawn

Yet all God's children
need a gentle path
and a helping hand
to show the way

And I have been lifted
from the dark nights
and the chains
that bound

Your touch
Your words
Your time
Precious

Thank you!

So true, we always need a helping hand.
Someone there to bright our days. Out friends.
