Call me

by patricia   Jul 3, 2008

I remember the day, it was like yesterday
You asked for my number
You even preprogrammed my name on your phone
You were so excited
And I was too
I thought it was a step up to our relationship
But I was dead wrong
The only calls being made were my calls
On the other side, it was you so excited
Boy , did I get pissed off
Why must I intiate everything?
I thought you wear the pants in this relationship
I became tired of dailing your number
And my number wasn't dailed in return
The phone calls ceased
So did the communication
I would think you would get it by now
But I was dead wrong
I gave up for years
But wouldn't be happy if I didn't try once more
So there I went with the phone calls
I was hoping things would change
The past would be put aside
The present to embrace
But I was wrong
You will never change
So when you said you would call me
I didn't believe it
So you don't have to call
It means nothing
