My Monochrome Moonlight

by Melpomene   Jul 4, 2008

I once licked lips of a sadists desire,
wounded beneath Birch I learned to walk.
Stumbling I fell into wounds of invite,
yet was pushed away to wonder in stars.

Traveling to the moon was Pluto.
Walking in circles was unseen.
For planet particles were unkind,
leaving Venus to feel deceived.

I once was told a secret of truth,
though blinded I preferred to carry on.
Into darkened alignment I honoured myself,
yet convicted of respiration I lied.

Traveling to my heart was cacoethes.
Cannular eyes are not what they seem.
For wounded beneath birch I walk,
captured by monochrome moonlight.

Monochrome moonlight, is an intense image all in itself..damn!...as i read this piece the emotion that overcame me wasnt so much a "sad", but more like "lost & wandered"...your descriptions seemed so sincere and vivid, that i felt i was riding on your back, through your journey, every line was crisp and sharp and kept me on the edge of my chair waiting impatiently for the next one..the 3rd stanza was my fav., and i can't say enough about how much i enjoyed reading this, and it will be going into my favorites..you rock!
