You Can't...

by ShyandHurt   Jul 4, 2008

I hate it that he can't be mine,
That she has him,
That I can't love him like I should,
That I can't love him like I want to,
Who knew it would be him,
With his skater appearance and crazy ways,
But that is what intrigues me,
Drawing me closer and closer to him,
I attempt to stop,
Knowing it might hurt the other people around me,
But the harder I try,
The farther I am pulled in,
Pulled to your deep blue eyes,
Your gentle hand,
And easy fun filled life,
Why do you ask?
I don't know,
Because,
If Common Sense had a play in this,
I would assume I wouldn't be anywhere near you,
But it isn't,
And I can say..
I really do like you.

Edit again but in the end i read it again and just skimmed over the messy bit. and i did love how it was like a story. it flowed well but for some reason the second line just stumpted me. its correct but my brain thinks that you say something else. and in poetry you don't really want that. or not in this particular circumstance.

i did like it, well done. keep writing cause so far these are amazing!
