Custody Battles

by changingintime   Jul 4, 2008

I wiped his bum and cleaned his face
took him to the park and had a bit of a chase.
At night I'd put him in bed
Read a story and kiss his head
The sun rose and so did he
His cry was my alarm and from my dreams i broke free.
I cared for him and risked my life for you
He's meant to be your child not mine, that is what makes me blue
It wasn't his choice to be brought into this world
You were only sixteen, just another silly girl
Now i blame you for it all
Because of your selfish decisions I no longer can witness my gorgeous nephew grow tall.
