Sleepy Dreamer

by Megan   Jul 4, 2008

I'm watching you sleep,
kind of feel like a stalker.
You seem maybe lonely,
not much of a talker.

As you lie under covers,
buried and sprawled.
Hidden by eyelids,
in dreamland you're walled.

Tossing and turning,
your clothes are half gone.
I'm awaiting the moments,
till you wake up at dawn.

Anticipation rising,
I'm stroking your hair.
Your eyes open, squinty,
to him none compare.

You pull me down with you,
I'm wrapped in your arms.
I feel safe and warm,
away from past harms.

This feelings so right,
the caring you show.
As long as i live,
my love continues to grow.

I loved this piece. It was well written, and full of emotion. The rhyming was good, also. Wonderfully penned.
