Final Goodbye

I slip away,
As I grab for you.
I cry these tears,
Can you not see the pain your putting me through?

And I don't understand,
Why your heart has turned so cold.
Im still trying to reach for you,
But your hand is not there to hold.

My heart is telling me I still love you,
But my mind is saying something has to be done.
Im tired of this war going on between us,
That's it, I've had it, you've won.

Im doing all I can to make things right,
But no matter how hard I try Im always wrong.
I've realized, I've been the strong one,
For the both of us all along.

I hate to lose you,
After all we've shared together.
But we've seemed to have run out of ways,
To make things better.

Now, my heart is yet again broken,
And I fear it will always be that way.
Because I won't have your love,
To get me through each day.

I'll never forget your face,
And you will always have a special place in my heart.
But I must go now,
Because all this pain is tearing me apart.

So, I have told you,
My final goodbyes,
While you fade into the distance,
As a silent tear falls from my eye.

This poem isn't one of my best, in my opinion. but i had to get some feelings out. thanks for reading, please let me kno what you think..
