He didn't come back

by Crystal Rose Blooming   Jul 5, 2008

I felt his lips upon my own
His arms held me so tight
I know this couldn't be a dream
It felt completely right

He was taken from me
The only man I have ever known
He went into the marines
And never came back home

I miss him now to this day
Two years ago he left
And since then I've carried on
Well at least I did my best

How I miss his loving arms
And the smile upon his face
he took such good care of me
Before he left this place

Happiness we two shared
And children were in the plan
As soon as her got back home
He would be a family man

I liked this one a lot. It felt as though you really connected with the topic. I don't know if you actually had a connection or not, but it came off like you did. Beautiful. 5/5

    In the first verse=
    I like the imagery.
how you describe "him" and you together.
but you know deep in your heart its just a dream, but it feels like everything is all right.
I'd like to tell you i know how you feel but i dont.
    I wish i did though.
I would take some of the pain away if i could.
