Musings

by StandStill   Jul 6, 2008

These words are not my own,
I claw for the desperately in the recesses of my mind.
Free-form screaming out of desperation,
because darling, I need some sleep tonight.

And every twilight shadow wraps around me,
my cracked blue eyes stream with oceans grey.
Three. Two. One. Here's where I let go,
falling down the rabbit-hole sunset.

Fear twists and turns in a hollow heart,
unreciprocating the love undesired.
Silence for a moment, betwixt the tick tocks,
terror bleeds down the broken clock.
