The Diary Of Jane

Dear Diary,
I fell today, a little harder than before.
If ever I had lovely wings,
I'm so scared I'll break them more.

You see, angels don't cry at night.
Aren't they supposed to have sweet dreams?
Diary, I feel so cold and alone,
what ever could it mean?

Dear Diary,
yet another day,
and I feel scared and alone.
Every day, I cry a little more,
I feel like an army of one.

I'm running in these pointless circles,
bright, lovely smile resting upon my face.
Don't you know, I'm tired now?
I keep falling further and further from grace.

Dear Diary,
It's Jane again,
Don't know if you remember me...
It's been some time since I last wrote,
and there are some changes, you see.

I'm no angel, too far fell,
and every day I cry and bleed.
I feel as though redemption comes through this blood,
and maybe that it's what I need.

So Diary, I cry tonight,
I pray for someone to come on another day.
I need to be rescued, here and now...
I need this pain to go away.

    I looove that song! I love Breaking Benjamin, period. Hehe, sorry I just had to say that. ^.^

    I liked how you wrote this poem as diary entries. I used to keep a diary, but found out that's a bad idea when you have nosey people in your house. I guess that's one of the reasons I started writing poems.

    `` To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what this line means. >< Do you mean falling in love or actually falling? Oh well, I like that it can be interpreted different ways. :]

    This last three stanzas were definitely the most heart breaking. When I read it, I just felt so sorry for Jane, because I know how it feels to want/need someone to make all the pain go away. You did a great job with emotions.
