It's amazing how suddenly, after seemingly weeks, little changes happen
For many days during my walks I had passed a flower bud that simply refused to open
Then, on the very day you walked by with me, there was this beautiful flower welcoming you
Even shy deer came out of their hiding places to come up to you and say, "Hello."
The silent forest came alive with the singing of birds and the buzzing of insects
Orchid Lady, I am so glad to have you by my side with your hand firmly kissing my own fingers
Whenever the sun touches you with its golden rays your hair glows with a golden aura
Perhaps, just perhaps this is why the forest looks its best whenever you walk with me.
Further down the path lies our old wishing well where I stand and wish so hard for your health -
- sweetheart, I want to stand there with you for a little while so the Goddess of the well can see you
I don't close my eyes and ask for too much for my coin; I only seek a small miracle to see you well again
The truth is I brought you with me today in the hope the goddess of the well answers my request.
Flower of my life you look so beautiful today, no wonder all these animals want to be by your side
If it were me walking alone I would not find Nature willingly sharing her flock with me like she is with you
Yet here we are and I notice the pretty bird that has alighted on your shoulder rubbing its head against your hair
I feel so honoured as I doubt if anyone would witness the beauty you and I are enjoying at this moment.
As we approach the wooden bridge I feel movement within my heart and I grip your hand tighter
It is on this bridge we have shared so much magic with ourselves and the splashing water
How can I describe how close our two hearts mingle; how they reach out their arms to each other?
Orchid Lady, can you feel the bridge welcoming you to its structure and my arms to your waist?
Oh, you feel so good my love, your softness blends into my arms the way it has always relaxed
I feel your heartbeat and my love folds itself into your entire body awakening the need I have for you
Even the sun has chosen to rest above your shoulders whispering to me, "you are with a Lady"
While the animals of the forest sit around you like an extended family; showing no fear at all.
A faint breeze blows over us bringing with it the sounds of the Church bell -
- even the old church wishes to share this outing with you and make this day one with a Holy peace
My love I am so happy you decided to come out with me today and share your paradise with me
For on my own I would have seen nothing but a flower bud, a forest, a wishing well and a wooden bridge.
Arm in arm I walk happily home beside my beautiful Orchid Lady.
