Foolish

by LADY B   Jun 1, 2004

I'm lost in a whirlwind of confusion,
hatred, lies, illusions
I'm trapped in the ones I thought were friends
but were only enemies in disguise
Their mask clouded my uncertainties for a while
but the truth shone its face
and their pretense came out clearer than day

I’m spinning in a whirlwind of strange emotions,
infatuation, lust, illusions
I’m wrapped up in my deranged reality,
that is caught between the shades of fantasy
but it’s all I have so I will not fade away

If I’d had but a wider view of what the future held
a longer look towards the horizon
If I’d had seen the sun beating down on me
I would’ve taken a different route
but I was foolish.

Hey, awesome poem. It was a really cool idea, kinda confusing, but that made it deep. It flowed well together, good job.
    Luv,
