The Damned. A metaphor.

The Damned.

The damned ugly witch who sometimes breathed beauty
Was trying to be slain by the people on duty
She didn't believe in the new custom ways
And foresaw all the danger in the oncoming days

The truth she foretold made all peoples bitter
And in their demise they kept trying to hit her
The damned ugly witch who loved the old lore
Was battered and beaten she was sad to the core

But it wasn't because all the peoples were bitter
Or the way that they hated and kept trying to hit her
The reasons for sadness was cause nobody cared
For the old book of rules that used to be shared

The damned ugly witch who sometimes breathed beauty
Was about to be slain by the people on duty.
