ILLUMINATING IRIDESCENCE

by Alex Joyaux   Jul 7, 2008

An illuminating iridescence

Drew me to your face,

A temporary independence

Uncovered in that place,

And while we talked,

We both discovered,

Different sides to one another--

Awkward silence dominating,

The walls we were abominating

No one present to interrupt,

Except an opening door, how abrupt--

Our time together again cut short,

This I longed to report:

What you said I am unsure,

As my eyes pierced through,

Caught hold of a heart so pure,

Glimpsed the real you
