Unmask Yourself

by SG Khan   Jul 7, 2008

Who is this that I see
Walking the earth fully masked
Could this be, is it me?
A question that should be asked
Can't really put emotions to words
Planted all feelings too deep
Come out peacefully, be free like the birds
Unmask your heart, I'm sure to keep
Smile with intentions to laugh
Hug like it is your last
Find your inner self, your own path
With the target to free that mask
Hard to let go of what you know
Feels like it keeps you safe on your feet
In order to allow yourself to grow
Jump start your heart, you'll hear the beat
Disguised feelings, protected heart, seeking redemption
At the cost of your innocent intentions
Afraid of what will be the next load
Open the book and let the story be told
Let loose the chain, release that lock
Hurt, pain and fear can no longer block
Your eyes being the door to your heart
Unmask yourself and observe a brand new start

    Hey,
I really love this poem, I expecially love the part "Hug like it is your last
Find your inner self, your own path"
And the very last line, very deep in thought and very lovely. :)
