The light goes right to red from green
to hurt you or upset you isn't what i mean
that's your intention with no looking back
it's hard for me to comprehend that fact
how love can burn out, dwindle or fade
separated or together it should never turn to hate
just listen, don't accuse;
try to understand me, isn't that what friends do?
so prove me right, empty promises are all you say
love now or friends forever? it can never go both ways.
