Tears form a puddle

by ME   Jul 7, 2008

Your love was never hard for you to prove
but by saying so much;
you bit off more than you could chew
overlapping promises formed false hope
lie after lie became harder in which to cope
your smile couldn't be in two places at once
so slowly it faded as weeks turned to months
blank expressions were you're answers to questions
sulking tears puddled together into a confession
so it lies as one small chapter of your past
and sunny skies will soon replace the dark overcast.

    Good work, enjoyed the rhyme scheme of it, flowed well.
