Saying Goodbye

Times have changed
The world is spinning faster
You left before we wanted

Life is everlasting
or so they say, but
Do they even know

I need you here
Taking care of me
helping me on my way

Now your gone
and all that remains
are memories of you

My life is missing a link
the void of losing you
is almost irreparable

But by the grace of God
I keep moving on,
Living life, while your gone

I'm losing my mind
asking WHY?
and questioning myself

Where did you go
Why did you leave and
Why haven't you come back for me?

I miss you more
now than ever
emptiness is taking over

Now I write, all day long
wishing only to speak to you
and praying for an answer back

but these words meet the paper
and thats as far as they go
only known to me, and not man

Some say life is hard and then you die
but life is what you make it,
Isn't that what you say

as the hour draws near
I come to a close, but
saying "goodbye" is harder than anyone knows

Your life was short
Yet long lived
in friends and fun and parties a ton

Family was first
and will always be
but now I say goodbye

until we meet again
I'll love and miss you
forever, till the end
