When the light will swallow my moon

by JD   Jul 8, 2008

When the light swallows my moon
the sun withers to the abroad;
stars reel the heaven's
the leaves drift, timelessly; breathlessly in awe.

Street lights diminish;
the luminary spirits fade.
the temperature declining,
owls eyes dance; in a august masquerade.

I collapse into a endless summer sleep;
eternal fatality devouring my soul.
falling into beat with my heart
this hopeless addiction is out of control.

The dark lets dreams fly loose;
and you tell me you want me, when nobody else does;
but you wont be here when light breaks free
now you got me all caught up in this fake love.

Reality holds me,
claw's me to get away; from this malignant truth.
this is no innocent dream;
not imagination on the loose.

The petals on the flower of lies;
fall in the late of one afternoon,
preparing for the night;
when the light will swallow my moon.
