What Happened To The World

by SweetGrief   Jul 8, 2008

I'm walking those streets
Watching what the world has done
I'm searching too deep
Crying children, this is what I have found
Rich people, wondering about their shape
While orphans are only asking about life's sake
Poor people, looking for a shelter
when their children are begging the world
To give them something to hold
Broken hearts, bleeding skin, crying eyes
you say " I will help" but you keep telling lies
Thin children; have no weight
sitting on the pavement, watching the floor
and television, is all we are looking for

what happened to the world
where we all were equal.
Now babies are running barefoot
and the blood from their feet is sprinkling,
outside, the thunder is screaming
and the wind is shouting, the rain is falling
I wonder what they are doing
Probably hugging their selves
counting the minuets to go,
Papers are their true friends
they are the fire that they can't raise.

Kids are asking and begging to get more
when their closet is full with clothes
and their bed is so soft equipped with doles
while orphans praying for god
and looking after something to cover them up.
Kids are complaining about breakfasts and lunch
while poor children are standing near the door
and their face is stuck to the glass
soiling it with their dirty fingers
watching them eating, and the manager of the store
is yelling and excluding them out like the dust on the floor
can you please tell me
what happened to the world ?
