The World Is Moving Forward Sweetie

by BECCA lessTHANthree   Jul 8, 2008

The world is moving forward sweetie
and you wont step outside
it hurts, the jagged edge of emotions
that scrape every time I try to leave this
place, this dark, this life.
this hole that you dug us into
we cant keep breathing like this, I can't.
there is not enough air for the both of us

Darling,
tomorrow I'll be gone with the rest of the world
Oh won't you take my hand?

I'm pulling out my hair with you!
Don't you hear the footsteps of the people running over us,
Or feel the cold from the shadow of the life that looks over us,
Cant you feel the space pushing itself between us?

Why not?
Its there. So clear. So loud.
You need to feel this, you need to hear this.

Darling,
Tomorrow I'll be gone with the rest of the world
Oh won't you take my hand?

Just unlock the door and let me in,
I am running out of time
I know, you know, deep down inside
I am just looking for a cause...
but your looking pretty lost to me now,
so defeated.

My passion for your touch has turned poison
Maybe if you could just get up, and stop sitting there...

Darling,
tomorrow I'll be gone with the rest of the world.

So wont you please just take my hand?

...I will be gone by morning.
