Freezing in the Arms of Loneliness

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Jul 9, 2008

Sometimes I'm more alone than ever when you're by my side.
I know you don't see it, I just really know how to hide.
Some of the things you say I take to heart
and each time they slowly tear me apart.

I know this isn't healthy, but I don't care.
I'd rather you be blissfully unaware.
Gritting my teeth as I let my heart crumble.
You won't hear a peep, not a single mumble.

So in your arms I'll freeze tonight.
Won't lift a finger; start a fight.
Later on maybe I'll melt and heal,
but for right now this is how I feel.

Aww, this is so sad. But full of emotions and a great flow & such. Of course it's a great poem, just like any other poem you write. 5/5.
